The School of Peri-Operative and Critical Care Nursing wishes to inform prospective applicants and the general public that Application forms for Admission for the 2021/2022 Academic year are on sale for the following programmes:
A. GRADUATE PROGRAMMES (REGULAR)
- BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative)
- BSc Nursing ( Critical Care )
I. BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The duration of the BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative) programme is two (2) years – (four semesters). To be admitted into the BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative) programme, applicants must:
- Applicants should possess a diploma in general nursing (RGN); or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in general nursing (SRN); or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in midwifery; or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in psychiatry.
- A degree in nursing will be an advantage.
- In addition, the applicant should have at least three (3) years post qualification experience in relevant field
II. BSc Nursing (Critical Care)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The duration of the BSc Nursing ( Critical Care) programme is two (2) years – (four semesters). To be admitted into the BSc Nursing ( Critical Care ) programme, applicants must:
- Applicants should possess a diploma in general nursing (RGN); or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in general nursing (SRN); or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in midwifery; or
- Applicants should possess a diploma in psychiatry.
- A degree in nursing will be an advantage.
- In addition, the applicant should have at least three (3) years post qualification experience in relevant field

- BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative)
- BSc Nursing ( Critical Care )
I. BSc Nursing ( Peri-Operative – Top-Up )
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The duration of the BSc Nursing (Peri-Operative) programme is two (2) years (two semesters). To be admitted into the BSc Nursing (Peri-Operative) programme, applicants must:
- Applicants should possess a advanced diploma in Peri-Operative nursing (PON),
- Applicants should be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana as a registered PON,
- A degree in nursing will be an advantage,
- In addition, the applicant should be in active service with a health facility.
II. BSc Nursing (Critical Care – Top-Up)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The duration of the BSc Nursing (Critical Care) programme is two (2) years (two semesters). To be admitted into the BSc Nursing (Critical Care) programme, applicants must:
- Applicants should possess a advanced diploma in Critical Care nursing (CCN),
- Applicants should be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana as a registered CCN,
- A degree in nursing will be an advantage,
- In addition, the applicant should be in active service with a health facility.
